Congratulations to these juniors in Early Childhood Education for receiving the highest scores on the Curriculum Unit Project. This project is modeled after the Educators Rising Weekly CDA competitive event. Students had to select a theme and five curriculum areas of interest. They then had to plan 25 developmentally appropriate activities based on the theme. Next, students selected their 5 favorite activities and taught those to a small group of preschoolers. To complete the project, students made display boards summarizing their projects and presented them to a panel of judges. Pictured (L-R): Mea Watkins, Jill Dunn, Ella Kennedy.

Students in Mrs. Metzger's class and Mr. Campbell's Landscape Design & Management lab sailed on Lake Erie at Port Clinton for their annual Lake Erie Walleye Fishing Charter earlier this week. Students in Conservation Science learned about fishing equipment, fish identification, fishing methods, and processing fish. The group came home with 25 walleye!! Students were able to watch the fish be processed in a facility once they returned to shore. Kyra Carpenter caught the first fish and the biggest fish of the day! Thank you to Fisherman's Wharf/Fishing Buddies and Rick & John (crew of the Miss Cindy) for taking us out! We appreciate it!! #MissCindyCharters #PortClinton #Fisherman'sWharf
