Ms. Metzger's Ag Science 2 class completed a Dairy Industry unit. The students learned about different types of dairy (cow, goat, sheep and plant-based) by performing a Lactose-Intolerance Lab. They tested different types of dairy products and the levels of lactose in each, and then learned why some people cannot tolerate the enzyme lactose. The students really enjoyed this unit!!

Pre-Professional Mentorship (PPM) students took a field trip to e-Merge Real Estate Champions office to have a question-and-answer panel with local business owners/entrepreneurs. Students had the opportunity to hear from professionals in our community about topics on how to earn money, what motivated them to become entrepreneurs, how to take the right risks when starting a business, what qualities the workforce is looking for, and much more.
Thank you to the following individuals for organizing and/or participating in this event:

Students in Mrs. Wittel's Build Your Future class learned about employment opportunities and resources available in the community while continuing to build soft skills. Each student chose a place of employment that they were interested in, and the class took a tour of the facilities and completed an informational job interview. Students recently went to Coyne Graphic Finishing and Buffalo Wild Wings. Students gained valuable knowledge about each place of employment.
Students also heard from Knox County Mobility Management and Transportation about how Knox Area Transit can provide transportation around the county.
We appreciate the support of local businesses!
