KCCC's JROTC program competed in their first drill competition recently at Delaware Hayes High School. Our senior JROTC members did a nice job in their leadership roles. We swept the exhibition category with both teams placing first. Cadet Gavin Amoroso's regulation team picked up a second-place trophy while Arianne Scott placed sixth of 300 in individual drill.

KCCC celebrated National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day this week! We are grateful & appreciate all SRO Armstrong does for our staff and students!
Recently, Danville students (Wade Nissley, Gavin Lepley, and Wyatt Kissley) were playing basketball together. Wade passed out and began turning blue. Wyatt performed CPR until paramedics arrived while Gavin called 911 and helped the paramedics get to Wade. Wyatt and his family wanted to stop by KCCC and thank Mrs. Kight for training him in CPR during his freshman year when she taught at Danville High School. At the time, Wyatt wasn't excited about completing CPR training. Mrs. Kight was persistent and made sure Wyatt and his classmates were trained and knew how to save lives! Wade is doing well and will be attending KCCC next year.
We regularly train students in CPR at KCCC each year! Thank you, Mrs. Kight, for making a difference!
