Students from Health Technologies, Computer Network Technology, Career Based Intervention, CollegeU-Business, Sports Medicine & Exercise Science, and Pre-Prefessional Mentorship participated in the Knox County Careers Expo at KCCC last week. The event was sponsored by the Knox Area Development Foundation, Knox Community Hospital, Knox County of DD, Knox Technical Center, and Ohio Eastern Star Home. Great opportunity for our students to learn more about careers in the Healthcare field and ask questions to professionals in the field.


Students in Transitional Living Skills choose a job location to conduct an informational interview. The first interview was held at Papa John's. Students asked questions in order to learn more about what the job entails and expectations from the company. Students spoke with the Papa John's General Manager and took a tour of the facility.


Students in Building Trades toured three local facilities recently to find out more about the industry. Students visited Kokosing, Mack Industries, and the Ohio Contractors Association's Drexel J. Thrash Training Center. Great opportunity for our students!


KCCC's Preschool children spent Tuesday trick-or-treating around the hallways of KCCC. Students and staff passed out candy and treats to children. We loved seeing all of the costumes and children dressed up!



KCCC's River Room Cafe will be opening to the public next week!
Guests will have to check in at the main entrance of KCCC and come to the outside River Room Cafe doors or through the building to River Room Cafe entrance in the cafeteria. Make sure you have your ID with you!






Mrs. Bush, KCCC School Counselor, held College Application Day on Thursday this week for any students interested in receiving help filling out college applications. Representatives from MVNU, OSU-Newark, and COTC were present to assist with the process.

Did you know? Knox County Career Center High School numbers continue to grow. This year we have 626 students. We expanded to two CollegeU-Business programs to meet the needs of students. These students earn an Associate Degree before they graduate high school. Seventy-one degrees have been earned since the first group of students finished in 2018.

Health Technologies Blood Drive

KCCC welcomed families for a Trick or Treat event hosted by the Early Childhood Education program. Cosmetology students offered face painting and had trick-or-treat stops for the children. Student Council also joined in the fun by having crafts in the library and a table of goodies for children to pick from. Mrs. Lifer's CBI class, KCCC administrators, and our KCCC Preschool staff also had trick-or-treat stations for children. The Early Childhood Education students conducted carnival games and served donuts, cider, and milk as well. Thank you to all the students and instructors who made this event possible!

Students in Collision Repair design, paint, and refinish vehicles using modern welding, sanding, masking, painting, and creative airbrush procedures.
