REMINDER: Today is KCCC's JROTC Raider Challenge at Ariel Foundation Park!

Mr. Lavin, Mr. Bellman, and Mrs. Henry, along with student ambassadors, presented information about KCCC and our programs to sophomores at Mount Vernon High School recently. KCCC representatives present to sophomores at Centerburg, Clear Fork, Danville, East Knox, Fredericktown, and Mount Vernon each fall.
We look forward to hosting all of the sophomores at KCCC on November 13 & 14!

During the month of October, The Kiwanis Club of Mount Vernon will be collecting gently used coats at over 25 locations in Knox County. The coats will be cleaned by Gault’s Plaza Cleaners and then taken to Interchurch Social Services and the Salvation Army to be distributed to children in need before winter arrives. Since 1987, nearly 19,000 coats have been donated, cleaned, and distributed.

Students in Sports Medicine & Exercise Science along with Early Childhood Education students collaborated with KCCC's Preschool children to get the children moving in the morning. KCCC students read the book "From Head to Toe" and had the students move according to different animals. It was fun seeing how the students interacted with the KCCC Preschool children to create engagement in the activities.

KCCC students attended the Opportunity Knox - Ohio Means Jobs Career and Job Fair. Students had the opportunity to acquire information and talk with representatives from over 35 Knox County Employers!

CollegeU-Business juniors covered the value of creating a plan during Team Building. Each team had to work together to use the marker attached to the yarn to draw a dog. The students had to discuss their team objectives and skills to develop a plan to create the best picture. They followed up the activity by discussing what they could have improved in the planning process.
Students in CollegeU-Business earn a highly transferable Associates Degree in Business and a high school diploma at the same time.
