KCCC's CollegeU-Business program hosted a social recently for the juniors and seniors to connect and talk about their experiences.
CollegeU-Business students experience a partnership between Central Ohio Technical College and Knox County Career Center.


Students in Computer Network Technology visited Microcenter in Columbus. Students learned about Microcenter's business operations and visited the computer repair shop.
Students at KCCC have the opportunity to go on educational field trips with their lab to learn more about their respective industry!

Did you know? Knox County Career Center Schools District is on the ballot for the first time in 29 years.

Students in the Individualized Career Exploration program visited the Quality Inn in Bellville for job training. Students worked with the maintenance department to do various tasks related to the care and maintenance of the building.
Students in the Individualized Career Exploration program work side by side with professionals through hands-on community mentorships and employment.



In celebration of Manufacturing Day (10/6), juniors and seniors in Precision Machining participated in a Manufacturing Expo hosted by Central Ohio Technical College (COTC). Students learned about local education opportunities and networked with representatives from local manufacturing companies.

Mrs. Bush, KCCC's Senior School Counselor, presented a College 101 Workshop during 5th period recently. Students were given a checklist and valuable information including a timeline of what they should be doing and when they should be doing it as it pertains to choosing a college.

Computer Network Technology juniors learned how to disassemble a computer. Each student was given a computer with instructions on disassembly. All students were able to disassemble and reassemble a computer successfully.
Students in Computer Network Technology obtain training in computer hardware repair & maintenance, software troubleshooting & network administration.

Seniors in Digital Media & Software Development spent some time assisting in the Children's Garden. Students had the opportunity to paint and be creative with some artistic expression.

Mrs. Hall, KCCC's librarian, created a camping experience for KCCC's Preschool children. The camping experience was held in the library where children learned about nature sounds, and learned a variety of educational aspects of nature while getting to sit around a look-a-like campfire and getting to experience being in a large tent.

Mr. Cline & Mrs. Kallay were asked to wear jerseys today for two Centerburg football seniors! Mr. Cline wore Austin's #18 and Mrs. Kallay wore Charlie's #52 today! Our staff loves attending events & supporting our students!


Seniors in Metal Fabrication & Welding worked on MIG welding recently at KCCC.
Students in Metal Fabrication & Welding use modern equipment and welding techniques to fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components.

Seniors in Sports Medicine & Exercise Science made a 3D representation of the Digestive System as they went over the Certified Personal Trainer curriculum.
Students in Sports Medicine & Exercise Science train for an exciting career helping athletes reach their full potential!

During the month of October, The Kiwanis Club of Mount Vernon will be collecting gently used coats at over 25 locations in Knox County. The coats will be cleaned by Gault’s Plaza Cleaners and then taken to Interchurch Social Services and the Salvation Army to be distributed to children in need before winter arrives. Since 1987, nearly 19,000 coats have been donated, cleaned, and distributed.

KCCC's JROTC participated in a Raider competition this weekend with 24 other teams from across KY, PA, and Ohio. This was the first competition this year for JROTC and the first competition ever for half the team. Great team effort! We are proud of you!
KCCC's JROTC is open to all students in the ninth grade or above looking for a unique opportunity. Students can take JROTC for one year or all four years of high school. The class is offered as a one-period elective, and there is no military commitment associated with JROTC.



Seniors in Mrs. Kallay's English 12 classes prepared for Mock Interviews by critiquing a variety of "Good, Bad, and Ugly" resumes. Students were given six resumes, and the student hiring committees rated them from 1st to 6th place. As a team, they provided feedback on each resume by detailing what was great and what could have been better!
