CollegeU-Business juniors met at Central Ohio Technical College to complete a downtown Mount Vernon scavenger hunt. The students were broken into groups with the task of visiting 9 businesses. While visiting the local business they asked informational questions about entrepreneurship, marketing, inventory, job responsibilities, and much more. Special thanks to Central Ohio Technical College, The Grand Hotel, Paragraphs Bookstore, Woodward Opera House, Heralds Appliances, Farmer's Daughter and Boutique, Williams Flower and Wine, and Woolson Spice Company. The students also visited Mt Vernon Apparel, Happy Bean Coffee Shop, Hottie Body Tanning Salon, and Mane Haven Salon.

Students who are a part of SkillsUSA are asking for your support in giving to foster families around Knox County through The Forgotten Initiative this year. Students set up a giving tree recently in the cafeteria. There are ornaments on the tree labeled with various items of need (hats, jeans, gloves, etc). Students can purchase the items of need and return them to the giving tree by Monday, December 18th. The items will be donated on Tuesday, December 19th.

Juniors in CollegeU-Business were tasked with developing a team-building training program. Each team had to research ways to effectively and efficiently teach how to be effective team members and teams. The students did a great job with their presentations! Students in CollegeU-Business earn a highly transferable Associates Degree in Business Management and a high school diploma at the same time.

KCCC staff members, students, and administration took part in the Food for the Hungry broadcast today presented by 90.9 WNZR. KCCC was the top collector amongst the area high schools with $3,489.86 and 503 food items. KCCC put together baskets and individual items from generous donations from community businesses, KCCC, and others across Knox County. The baskets raised $4,911 during the auction for Food for the Hungry! In total, KCCC raised over $8,400 for Food for the Hungry! We love being a part of the Food for the Hungry Drive in Knox County!!!
