Knox County Career Center is auctioning off gift baskets for Knox County Food for the Hungry. Gift baskets are created through community donations and KCCC students, teachers, and staff. Proceeds from the KCCC Online Basket Auction go to Food for the Hungry and are then distributed to local agencies that work first-hand with those in our community who need support. Digital Media and Software Development (DMSD) students learned the basics of how to edit videos in Adobe Premiere Pro. They created a weather forecast with a green screen and learned how to remove the green screen and add other media.

Juniors and seniors in Metal Fabrication & Welding and HVAC visited the Sheet Metal Workers Joint Apprentice Training Facility in Columbus last Tuesday. Students learned about the 4-year apprenticeship program to become a journeyperson that includes full-time pay, benefits, and 36 college credits. Students also had the opportunity to meet instructors and participate in training activities.
